Dr. Henning Saupe is the founder and head physician of the Arcadia Praxisklinik. He studied medicine at the University of Ulm, Germany, and received his doctorate in Germany in 1995. In 1996, he received his Swedish medical license and worked in Stockholm for 10 years. Dr. Saupe developed the concept of the 12 vital fields and is the author of the book “Holistic Cancer Medicine,” which is available in English, Dutch, and German. In his treatment, he follows a holistic complementary medicine approach.

Doctorate in Germany
Where does life come from and what does it take to keep people alive?
Dr. Henning Saupe was fascinated by the concept of holistic medicine from an early age. He therefore studied medicine at the University of Ulm in Germany and received his doctorate in psychotherapy in Germany in 1995. The following year, he received his license to practice medicine in Sweden.

The path to integrative medicine
While still a medical student, he supplemented his medical studies by actively participating in seminars and training courses in natural medicine, anthroposophic medicine, music therapy, and energy medicine. From 1996 to 2006, Dr. Saupe worked in Stockholm as a general practitioner specializing in holistic cancer therapy before founding Sweden’s first hyperthermia clinic specializing in integrative oncology, the Arkadiakliniken, in Stockholm in 2005.
2006
Founding of the Arcadia Praxisklinik in Germany
In 2006, the Arcadiaklinik moved to Kassel and has since been known as the Arcadia-Praxisklinik. Since 2014, it has been located in Bad Emstal, in the middle of the spa gardens, as an internationally oriented practice for the holistic treatment of people who have or have had cancer. Since 2017, Dr. Saupe has been the medical director of the practice clinic, which has treated patients from more than 50 countries since it opened.
2021
12 Vital Fields – Book Publication
Dr. Henning Saupe developed the concept of the 12 vital fields and is the author of the book “Understanding Cancer and Treating It Holistically,” which was first published in Germany in 2021 and has already been translated into English and Dutch and is available in many countries. Other languages are in the works.
Lectures and awards
Dr. Henning Saupe believes that it is important to share knowledge. He regularly gives lectures in Germany and abroad, participates in symposia, and is a guest on numerous podcasts. Among other honors, he received the Professor Olof Lindal Prize for Complementary Medicine in Stockholm. Since 2024, Dr. Saupe has been the Medical Director of the US patient organization The Annie Appleseed Project and has regularly participated in the annual conferences of the largest US cancer patient organization in West Palm Beach, Florida, with lectures and workshops since 2019.
